DB Indoš
Born in 1957, in Zagreb, is a performer and theatre artist. He creates experimental musical instruments, sound sculptures Shachtophones and graphic scores.
He graduated from philosophy and comparative literature at the Faculty of Philosophy in Zagreb. He was a member of neo avant-guard theatre group Kugla Glumište. They created and performed a series of influential actions and performances in the period between 1975 and 1981/82. With the work Akcija /Action 16:00, the group split into soft and hard fraction.
During 1980s, as the instigator of hard fraction called Grupa Kugla, DB Indoš created a series of group and solo performances. Since 1990s, under the name of DB Indoš – House of Extreme Music Theatre, he has developed a series of projects and guest performances. Since 2005, in cooperation with Tanja Vrvilo, he has developed experimental theatre work and performances, as well as solo pieces, most commonly co-produced by the Culture of Change program of Teatar&TD.
He has participated in numerous festivals. He is a permanent collaborator of Teatar &TD. He has been awarded with the prize of the City of Zagreb 2009 for the contribution to the alternative culture of Croatia, as well as first prize of the Museum of Contemporary Art in Zagreb for the sound sculpture Shachtophone.
Together with Tanja Vrvilo, he was the medal winner of Prague Quadrennial 2015 as the representative of Croatian selection.
