Željko Marović
He was born in 1985 in Bečej, Serbia, but moved to Germany in 2004. His original idea was to spend his life in learning new languages and travelling the world, but he finally decided to study acting at Folkwang University of Arts in Essen.
During his studies, he already gains first experiences on the stage of theatres in Essen and Cologne. From 2011 until 2014, he was hired in Theater Konstanz where he played Allan Felix from Woody Allen’s comedy “Play it again, Sam”.
In 2015, he moved to Berlin where he works as a freelance artist. He is often employed at Maxim Gorki theatre, and he has appeared on German movie screens. He acted in movies such as “Unglaublich Zart” for which he was awarded the Lichtenberg award at Berlin Film Festival, and movie “Der Beobachter” for which he was awarded 1st prize of ZKM Motionpicture 2.0.
Young actor from Voyvodina got rewards for theatre plays with Kurt Heckenberg Preis for political theatre and audience reward. He was also rewarded for best ensemble in the encounter of acting academies of German-speaking countries.
